Three prior installations of Sentient Trader have been made

When trying to activate your licence you may encounter the following message:

“There was a problem requesting your license key: Three prior installations of Sentient Trader have been made. Please email support@sentienttrader.com to resolve this problem”

This indicates one of two possible issues:

  1. The licence you are using has already been activated on 3 different computers.
  2. Due to software or hardware changes spurious activations have been created for the same computer.

In the first case please choose one or more computers which you would like to have your licence removed from (or consider purchasing a second licence). You will then need to contact support and communicate which licences you would like to remove or maintain. To do this, in Sentient Trader, go to Help> About. Scroll down to the UID in that window and take a screenshot. That UID is the code which we will use to either delete the activation or conserve that activation.

In the second case please start up Sentient Trader on all computers you are using your licence on. Then go to Help> About and scroll down to the UID (for each working version of Sentient Trader) and take a screenshot. Those UIDs are the codes which we will maintain, deleting all the spurious ones.

In both cases it will be necessary to contact support at support@sentienttrader.com with the screenshot of the UIDs attached to your email. Please state clearly which must be deleted and which must be maintained and we will solve the problem for you promptly.
